Meet Evan Schein, Partner & Head of Litigation

|

Before moving into family law, Evan Schein worked as a sports agent. Today, he’s a partner at Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein, head of litigation, and head of our family law sports practice.

His work often involves people navigating major personal and financial transitions—professional athletes, entertainers, and other high-net-worth individuals whose matters can include prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, custody questions, and financial issues that require careful preparation.

Meet Evan and hear more about the perspective he brings to family law.

Prepared for the Details That Matter

As head of litigation, Evan brings a detail-focused approach to cases that carry significant financial, parenting, and personal consequences. He’s practiced family law for 18 years and understands that a client’s circumstances can’t be reduced to a single filing or courtroom appearance.

That preparation starts with understanding the full picture. Evan puts it plainly: “Every fact, every timeline, every detail” matters when building a client’s case.

The Attorney-Client Relationship Is the Work

Choosing a divorce attorney is a consequential decision, particularly when custody arrangements or complex finances are involved. Evan views the attorney-client relationship as central to that work—not an afterthought.

We handle family law exclusively, offering litigation, collaborative law, and mediation. That range lets us walk clients through every available path and build a legal strategy that fits their actual circumstances.
