Michael L. Fried

Michael is a partner at Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein LLP. An experienced litigator and trial attorney practicing exclusively in the field of Matrimonial and Family Law since 1997, Michael has assisted high net worth individuals in navigating difficult matters relating to equitable distribution, child support, spousal maintenance, and contested custody matters with patience, skill, and sensitivity. While his first priority is to resolve matters quickly and expeditiously through skilled negotiation, Michael will not hesitate to proceed to litigation and eventually trial if necessary. Michael has also engaged in oral argument before the Appellate Division, Second Department.

Prior to joining Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein, LLP, Michael was a partner for a prestigious boutique Matrimonial and Family Law firm. Besides his fellowship in the AAML, Michael was selected as a barrister to the New York Family Law American Inns of Court.

Michael has volunteered his time and trial expertise to the law students of Touro Law School as he served as a Moot Court Judge for the Bainbridge Moot Court Competition from 2008-2010 as well as 2012 and 2014. He has also lectured on issues related to Matrimonial and Family Law before the Nassau County Bar Association.
