Berkman Bottger Newman & Rodd, LLP Announces New Partner Jessica L. Toelstedt

|

Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein LLP, is extremely proud to announce that Jessica L. Toelstedt has been promoted to partner, joining current partners Barry Berkman, Walter F. Bottger, Jacqueline Newman, and Evan D. Schein. Jessica joined the firm in 2012. Prior to this, she worked for another Manhattan firm where she also focused on complex matrimonial and family law cases.

Jessica divides her time between collaborative cases, mediations, and cases with a focus on litigation, and she has extensive experience in all three approaches to divorce. Jessica is a strong proponent of settling divorces and family conflicts as amicably as possible for the benefit of the parties and the best interest of their children. She has been trained as a mediator by The Center for Understanding in Conflict and has been trained in collaborative law by The New York Association of Collaborative Law Professionals.

Jessica has been included in the New York Metro Super Lawyers Edition for 2014 as a Rising Star in Family Law, a recognition bestowed on fewer than 5% of attorneys in New York State.  These activities and her reputation for ethical standards and professional ability among her fellow lawyers have earned her the highest rating, AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated by Martindale Hubbell. Ms. Toelstedt is a member of the New York State Bar Associated (Family Law Section), New York State Women’s Bar Association (Family Law Section), New York Association of Collaborative Professionals and the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York.

In Jessica’s own words:

“My ability to be a zealous yet compassionate advocate enables me to successfully guide my clients through their divorce. For my clients with young children, I recognize that they will need to co-parent long after my representation has ended. With that in mind, whether a resolution is reached in or out of court, I remain focused not only on reaching a favorable result for my client, but on how to achieve that result in a way that benefits the family as a whole.”

Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein LLP congratulates its newest partner on her achievement.
