Olivia Lofaro
About
Olivia joined Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein in 2025, after obtaining her Juris Doctor from Touro Law. At law school, Olivia was also an active member of the Trial Advocacy and Practice Honor Society. She graduated Cum Laude, and earned the prestigious Siben Scholar award. Prior to joining the firm, Olivia worked as a paralegal for a prominent New York City defense firm.
Olivia primarily focused her law school studies on family and matrimonial law, earning CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Child Welfare, Trial Advocacy, Child Support Mediation, and New York Practice. While participating in Touro’s Pro-Bono Mediation Clinic, Olivia facilitated several mediations between families referred from Suffolk County Family Court to determine child support and visitation.
Olivia’s passion for family law extends to child advocacy. During her time at Touro, she developed a comprehensive understanding on the welfare system and its impact on parental custody. Prior to law school, Olivia received a Bachelors in Psychology, focusing on child development and research. She interned with the Vocational Independence Program where she worked closely with children with developmental disabilities, providing her with valuable experience with an issue experienced by many families.
