
Laura Ravinsky

About
Laura joined Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein as an associate in 2025.
Before joining the firm, Laura worked at one of Manhattan’s preeminent boutique matrimonial law firms, where she represented clients in all aspects of matrimonial and family law, including divorce and equitable distribution, child custody and support, spousal maintenance, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Prior to that, Laura worked for several years as a Court Attorney to the Hon. Rachel A. Adams in a dedicated Matrimonial Part of the Supreme Court, Kings County. In that role, Laura assisted in the determination of complex matrimonial disputes involving a wide range of substantive and procedural issues.
Laura was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, where she received a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from McGill University. She has training in the major applied areas of Counseling Psychology. This interdisciplinary experience helps Laura identify and address sources of conflict dynamics and propose concrete solutions to those issues.
Laura is admitted to practice in New York, where she is a member of the New York State Bar Association, as well as the Westchester and New York Women’s Bar Associations. Laura has been selected by her peers as a New York Metro rising star for Super Lawyers for 2023 and 2024 and was recognized in Best Lawyers Ones to Watch in 2024 and 2025.
Laura lives in Westchester with her husband and son.
